I got sick of going to Peter Mark for a €37 haircut that was nothing more than an overpriced barber job. So I went to a barber and got the same thing for €19. Obviously at a barber you're going to get some hair on your clothes, no coffee and no designer furniture, but the haircut is the same. Things might be different for the ladies, but they all go upstairs at John Adams so I couldn't see. Judging by the steady stream of customers though, they must be doing something right here. The best thing about this place (aside from the price) is the friendly, homey atmosphere. Some of the regulars have been coming here for 30 years. The lady that did my hair had worked there for 25! No appointments necessary but you might have to wait - they are fairly busy.
