Review from Lee M.
We took a group last evening and found it very enjoyable. Based on the reviews here, we were not expecting it to be great. However, the food was above average, the band was good and the Irish dance was very good. We had a very nice time and would recommend it.

Great location! Holy crap - Super touristy, Live entertainment onsite daily. Loud, Live entertainment.
I could not hear the music in my room, but it was intimidating to venture towards the restaurant bar at any given time with the clapping and clogging... and tourists. That said, the proximity to everything tourist is within walking distance from the site.
The bar was a nice reprieve in the afternoons to watch football on the TV and catch your breath. The bartenders were all pleasant.
Dublin at your fingertips.
The rooms are average. Dated.
The bathroom smelled like my dead grandmas house.
Not hot.
But reasonably priced and in the middle of everything good.
Breakfast was included daily, which included a breakfast bar and hot items from the kitchen as well. The waitstaff was not my favorite.
The front desk staff was amiable and helpful. Very kind.
I would definitely recommend to visitors, but mostly based on the location across the street from a hop on hop off bus stop and the Dublin Castle and 2 blocks walking to Temple Bar. -

Well the location is good .I thought it would be so noisy that I would never sleep but with a white noise machine and ear plugs i had no problem. Then there is the performance space downstairs which reverberates through the floor, ignored it!While sitting on the toilet I heard Danny Boy.My wife thinks she heard Horse With No Name at one point we both know we heard Heart of Gold.Didn't hear much dancing but if I had I would have put on a headband , stripped and proclaimed myself Lord of the Dance.Hopefully I could have danced with leprechauns and snow white or maybe Gerry Adams imitators.
Truthfully, i was pretty happy in this hotel even though it is clear the mattresses should have been replaced about two years ago. -

Friendly staff and convenient location for tourists.
Small rooms for big fat Americans. En-suite bathroom needed updating. -

Going to a bar with a sign outside promoting Irish Music and dancing, I expect a tourist mecca. That it is... at one point the first band asks "Is there anyone from Ireland here?"
The largest problem is the lack of "fun". The first band was boring as could be. (Granted this is a Sunday night, maybe they have better other nights) The dancing was good, but mechanical. -

A nice hotel in a great spot. The rooms are a bit small compared to some of the newer hotels in Dublin, but it adds character to the place. The staff are friendly and the bar in the hotel is nice as well. They also have very reasonable drink prices considering the location. I would have given them more stars, but for some reason at 7am they had builders in the rooms next to us hammering and drilling all day. We went to a gig the night before and didn't make it back to the hotel till around 5am. Needless to say the sounds of a building site coming from the rooms next to us left us unable to sleep and quite irked by the whole experience. Who has builders hammering and drilling stuff at 7am in a hotel anyway? Check out time is noon, why not wait until then to have people perform construction type work? Seriously, they had no consideration for any of the guests who were there as the sounds of all the construction echoed through the whole hotel sure!
