6 reviews for Bang Cafe
I have to agree with the other reviews when I express my undying love for Bang. It's really really good.
I've been here on a date and for my xmas work do, and I really enjoyed it both times. The service is excellent, the décor is lovely, the atmosphere is great and most importantly, the food is top notch. For starters I like the scallops and for mains is a toss up between the steak and the bangers and mash. Surprisingly, the bangers and mash is one of the cheapest dishes on the menu, but in my opinion it's one of the best.
The guys who run it are really nice too - very accommodating and I have always found them very friendly.
One of the best restaurants in Dublin. Inventive Irish fusion cuisine.
Excellent salads---really dug the Honey and Roasted Soya Duck Salad. The chicken main I had was great. One of my friends had what she called the best bangers and mash ever---yes it's possible to do high end bangers:)
Even the bread was fantastic---try the basil and sea salt one!
Bang is a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Highly highly recommended.
I've been to Bang twice - once for lunch and once for dinner - and I loved it. The time I went there for dinner was for my friend's hen party so it was important we had a good night out. Bang fit the bill completely. The service is really, really good - you get the impression that the wait staff take their jobs very seriously. Everyone is attentive, obliging and friendly at all times, without being fake either. We had a pre-dinner cocktail to start, which was just the ticket. Then we all had a lovely meal that nobody could find fault with.
When I had lunch there more recently my experience was similar. There were three of us this time and we ate and drank well and spent about three hours there in total - if not more. And when we finally did leave it wasn't because we were being rushed out by the staff. No, I think they would have been happy to let us relax there a bit more in fact! It's a great sign of a restaurant when you're not being told that your table is needed asap for the next party.
I love Bang Cafe. It's truly delicious: locally-sourced ingredients, sort of an Irish Chez Panisse Cafe. I also like the aesthetics. It's my favorite restaurant in Dublin, and I like it, period, without reference to Dublin.
Quite a bit more expensive than it should. Took a group of people out for dinner, spent over 1k eur, and they forced us out without time for desert due to another booking arriving. Unbelievable.
Priding themselves on reliably cooking modern Irish cuisine to the most premier level, Bang is a leading contender for the title of Dublin's most coveted eatery. It's multi-award winning status sees the more well-healed Dubliners flock to this trendy restaurant, making reservations a must. Smartly inconspicuous, Bang boasts an interior fresh with natural tones of mahogany and light beige leather as an accompaniment to the minimal white linen that adorns its tables. At €28.95 the 3-course pre-theatre menu is appreciably cheaper than if you were to choose all that your heart as well as appetite desires from A la Carte. I enjoyed the abounding taste of the amusingly titled BANGers & Mash - an example of how Bang expertly present a time-honoured dish in the company of innovative tastes and presentation without losing any of it's original authenticity that people have come to know and love. The succulent tastes are a result of the restaurant's conscientious decision to obtain all ingredients only from local, organic sources. Such assiduousness on their part as this only acts as further authentication that this really is a top-quality establishment. The first floor boasts an impressive skylight that adds a unique élan to the already quality eating experience and is positively the most opulent of all the places in the restaurant to be positioned. Situated just yards from the exclusive Shelbourne Hotel on the elite Merrion Row it is unsurprising that Bang would do anything but exude quality in conjunction with stylishness if geography was anything to go by. The restaurant prides itself on a tremendous front of house team who cheerfully tend to your needs throughout the highly gratifying evening spent within this urbane firecracker of an eatery.
