Review from Neil F.
Owner and head barber, Niall, gives you exactly what you want and he's one of the few barbers who can give you a damn good cut and a damn good conversation--at the same time! (I find most of my haircuts suffer if I start talking to my barber.) This man cares about your hair and he cares about this town.
Go there on Monday or Tuesday for the €12 special. Absolute steal. -
Review from Brian P.
Dublin
Bedford Stuy Barbers, named after a district of Brooklyn called Bedford Stuyvesant where Spike Lee set four of his films, has got to be Dublin's best haircuts for men, offering great cuts at decent prices.
Bedford Stuy is a pretty stylish shop with heavy, dark wood, modernist barbers chairs, marbled counter tops, it's a pretty groovy setting for a trim.
The owner and head barber was formerly the head barber in The Merchant Barbers and a few years ago set out on his own at Bedford Stuy. His hair cuts are excellent and, at €20 for a wash-cut they're pretty much in the most competitive bracket price-wise.
I mean, you can probably get your hair cut for 78 cents somewhere but don't come crying to me when they sever an artery in your neck trying to clean up your bangs, okay?
So, if there's a hip new style like French braids or a flock of seagulls you wanna try out get thee to Bedford Stuy. Five stars for never really giving me a bad hair cut in four years, that works out at 1.25 stars a year by the way.
