A lovely old fashioned local pub. With a lot of business men coming here for their evening pint and to continue talking business. But everybody is just happy to be there and even if they spot a new face they just continue.
A lovely spot to spend a couple of hours and with a pint of Guinness at €4.65 it's not too expensive either.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Richard L.Dublin710125 Mar 2019
I was lucky enough to live behind this pub for three years though I'd always visited it before then. It's truly a classic Irish pub, made for conversation and fun. There's no music and the TVs only get turned on when there's an important sporting event. As traditional, it's divided into a bar area and lounge, with a heated smoking area out the back. Great pints and very professional staff. The pricing is fair and they'll whip you up a toasted sandwich if peckish. Very sorry to no longer live near by.

A little GEM. Probably the only pub that has not changed over the years. Amazing pints!

Byrne's is one of those pubs, who seem to have missed the whole Celtic Tiger malarkey. Maybe because they're a bit in the middle of nowhere on the Stillorgan Dual Carriageway. This pub looks like it hasn't changed at all in the last 20 years at least. But then again, why should it? The seats are comfortable, the pints are outstanding and the staff are lovely and friendly. People, who are more interested in a stylish place to have a few cocktails probably won't make it through the doors and that's why it's such a great place. It's also just around the corner from the Leopardstown racecourse so it's perfect for a few drinks before or after the races.

Great old fashioned pub without trying too hard which is its appeal to me. Another local haunt pub of mine. In direct competition with the more "trendy" Lepp Inn up the road but easily holds it's own. Many older (perhaps wiser) locals will choose this pub as it appeals to those who want a good pint of the black in a very chilled atmosphere. Generally an older crowd but it only adds to the feel of the place. Guinness 9/10

This is an old-fashioned pub in the best sense of the word. It stays the same while the whole area around it has changed! Warm and welcoming. The staff always have time for a chat. A great place to pop in for a toasted sandwich at lunchtime
