Review from Adam C.
I've been back twice for lunch now since I moved to a new job up the road from them on the Quays and the only reason it is missing a 5 star review is that none of the food has been excellent. Don't get me wrong, it is solid, tasty Italian fare but so far I don't have a favorite that will leave me craving my next visit.
The service, the coffee and superior decor will keep me coming back and if and when I find their signature dish I'll be sure to come back and update this review again. It's main competition is Munchies down the street for approximately the same price (coffee + sandwich) - it wins hands down in that competition for me.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Dublin
Good value for money. Different fare from your typical lunch joint in Dublin. Daily specials are sometimes quite special (polenta e funghi, grilled salmon with veggies, spaghetti with seafood) all for quite reasonable prices. Stardard menu had sandwiches (which are a bit "thin" on filling), salads (quite satisfying) and pastas (good enough standard pastas but made with wholesome ingredients and cooked "al dente"). Nice deserts too (try the mini tiramisu for €2 or so)
You should also try the aperitivo italian style, from 6pm onwards they serve cocktails and give out free nibbles
Couple of negatives: The place is quite small so you need to go there by noon to avoid waiting; bad ventilation meaning that you leave smelling like food.
All in all quite solid. Many Italians (like myself) go which is a testament to its authenticity. -

Dublin
Café Parigi, a lovely authentically Italian feeling café with seating outside for you to look over the river and an Italian news station on the radio, it all comes together to make for a thoroughly pleasant break from the usual rush around the city.
The fare offered is pretty good too - I like my coffee and here they do it incredibly well; the black coffee is hot and smooth, the espresso barely dirties the bottom of the cup and is just about strong enough for you to leave your spoon standing in it. The pastries are about as fresh and tasty as you can get and I should imagine about a thousand weight watchers points (well, even a short, fat and balding man has to watch these things sometimes!).
They have also have free Wi-fi available which is a nice wee extra.Listed in: Dining out in Dublin, Hot, black and beautiful

Dublin
Caffe Parigi is a really nice little Italian based on sir john rogerson quay. It only opened a matter of weeks ago and the décor is lovely - little tables and some with an adjoining couch thing, decked out in cream leather with lovely fluffy cushions.
I went for lunch and ther is a choice of panins, salads, pastas and a few specials. Just really simple, tasty food. I had the pasta arrabiatta and my friend had a parma ham and buffalo mozzarella salad. We got some bread and a big bottle of sparkling water, and it was only about €16. Good value!
All the staff are Italian and really friendly. I'll definitely be back.
