Dublin
I think the ladies have it covered here and I only have one thing to add.
If you're looking for real-life cowboy boots then China Blue is the place to be. They stock really, really good quality, hand-made cowboy boots from Venezuela.
They ain't cheap obviously so you're really going to have to commit to the cowboy-thing for a while. You'd wanna see the state of me about three years ago! -

China Blue is a little gem of a shoe shop. There's something for everyone here, from clunky Doc Martins to silky Chinese slippers, sparkly stilettos to Converse and Asics runners, and office shoes with a bit of a difference. It's my first port of call when I'm looking to buy a new pair of boots, as they have a great selection of good quality leathers (flat with no heels which I love) for really reasonable prices. They stock lines like Rocket Dog which aren't widely available in other Dublin shoe shops.
It's definitely worth a look in if you're in the market for something a bit different. -

Tucked away down Merchant's Arch across from the Ha'Penny Bridge, China Blue is a great shoe shop that offers a variety of brands not easily found in Dublin. They sell Irregular Choice, Pepe, Gola, Ben Sherman, New Rock and the best selection of Doc Martens I've seen in this town!
They have awesome boots in a great many colors and even more styles. This is the only place I've found a pair of green leather boots, something I've been hunting for since my current green leather boots began to die. -

They always seem to have one of the most extensive selection of boots in the city centre and at fairly reasonable prices. As has been said before they really cover the various shoe genres. I love their cowboy boots, hot!
Long and big enough store for the location. Any time I have gone in their the staff leave you to your own devices to inspect the shoes, they don't hoover which is very off putting to me. But if you need their assistance they are only to happy to help out.
No idea where the inspiration for the name came from so if anyone has any inside knowledge on that or even an idea why the aforementioned name was chosen let me know! -

China Blue is great for unusual shoes, I think they actually have the biggest selection of Doc Martins, Converse and Gola trainers in Dublin. They also have masses of boots, both flats and heels but to be honest their other shoes aren't that exciting. However, I keep on buying my Gola trainers and Chucks here, because they have a great selection and their prices are very competitive. The staff are also very friendly and helpful, that's one big reason why I keep coming back.

If you're a shoe person, then this is the place to go. Quirky and a bit different, it caters to the type of person one would expect to be shopping in Temple Bar - the slightly (wannabe) 'alternative' set. Personally it reminds me of the days when I was still sussing out my, as Mr. Jay would say, 'personal style'. I dabbled in the goth rocker look (Nu Rocks - always wanted them but could never afford them. Now I see the wisdom of my in keeping pocket money to a minimum!), tried the girly-girl thing (heels - NOT my friends) , the 'I don't care (but I secretly do)' style (Docs) and finally settled on what I'm told is a hippie sort of thing. Either way, China Blue had me covered. Nowadays, Nu Rocks I just find a bit scary (especially the 'feminine' ones with the heels that look designed to kill), and my burning desire for a pair of maroon Dr. Martins has dissipated to a distant memory, but the lure of China Blue remains.
