This is a weird shopping mall with a weird combination of shops that has blatantly placed itself next to the eurotunnel entrance to capitalise on Brits going throughg the tunnel, but has failed miserably to offer the sort of thing we would love to see here.

We don't want weird chocolate shops and random perfume places. What would make this place totally awesome would be a farmer's market with fresh local produce, like the one in Le Touqet.

Get one of these in here and I'd be tempted to drive down from London to do my grocery shopping every month!

The only thing worth going here for (IMHO) is Carrefour. I've checked it out several times and it's pretty much what you'd find in any shopping centre - H&M - Zara - Etam - Toys R Us even a Tescos wine store. There are a few French boutiques, gift shops and shoe shops, but generally they are average to over priced, especially the electrical store Darty. I can only suppose that they pay a premium in rent that they have to pass on.

If you're gasping for a pint there is an English pub in the food court, which is a bizarre faux French street cafe affair (see photo).

If you do go, make sure you make a careful note of where you've parked and which entrance you use (it's easy to get turned around).

If you like your shopping huge, clean, corporate and centralised this is the place.

It is located near the tunnel to/from England so is a convenient place to quickly stock-up and is therefore a popular destination for coach trips from England

A gigantic shopping complex in Coquelles, right outside the Eurotunnel terminus, Cite Europe contains a number of different shops, ranging from the hypermarket, Carrefore, to a number of clothing retailers (strangely, C&A has a branch here having long closed down back in the UK), a number of restaurants (probably not authentically French), to a cinema location (if you understand French.)

There is ample free parking, and its location makes it useful for travelers using Eurotunnel. Whilst it's located right next to the terminal, due to the road design, you must take the motorway for a short distance to get there it's clearly signposted, but a bad design decision.
