No cover and is 20 and over, at least you can sift out the younger kids this way. When we first arrived, there weren't a lot of people at all around midnight. But from experience, we know the clubs don't really get lively until 1am in Europe. So we stayed and gradually more people poured in. Very lively dance floor and large venue with an upstairs area to lounge. Reminded me of Club LAX in Vegas, but not that great of course.
They played mostly hip-hop, pop, and top 40 on a Saturday night which was a relief to us after all the Euro-trance that played everywhere we went.
There were some specials on select beers for €3.50 which was a decent deal compared to other places.
The dance floor was so extreme, that our group had to take a break. Men were dancing on platforms at full force! If men are caught doing that in California, they would be immediately kicked off. Glad to know they don't discriminate there. -

Once you've been in Vegas, all other clubs kind of blur into one, hard to find a real stand out. And Ireland is better experienced in pubs anyway.
That said, Club M was pretty good the Friday night I was there. My last night in Ireland and strangely enough after more than a week I still had not actually gone out... blame it on the early morning wake-up calls for those tours. Anyway, me and my friend had got our drinks at another spot, which was waaaaay too crowded to even stand in.
So we got into Club M at 1130 or so, and it was almost empty. We were disturbed by this. But what the hell. Must make the best of it! And I'm glad we did because about a half hour later it got poppin, and the beats got better, and all in all me and my girl found ourselves the apparent stars of the dance floor. Either the other girls there that night were pretty tame, or the guys were extra sleazy, or something. I know it was definitely not my dancing, hah. Oh and an important point -- it was busy, but not so busy that you had to wait for hours to get your drink, or exchange fluids with random strangers just to get from one end to another.
And.... where else can you find dudes in kilts inside a nightclub???
Good times at Club M. Oh and yes, drinks were a bit expensive... so get your fix elsewhere, the better to get your groove on. -

I can give you one very good reason to visit Club M: It's featured in Danny Wallace's 'Join Me' or is it Dave Gorman's 'Googlewhack' either way they're both a lot of fun and one of them mentioned it. He, whomever 'he' is, was inexplicably impressed by the place, go figure.
It has the reputation of being something of a cultchy club, in the spirit of Copper Face Jacks and the like, but, frankly, I really like cultchy mayhem. It's a night out on the batter that does exactly what it says on the tin. It says 'beer fuelled chaos to a soundtrack of 98FM guaranteed' on that tin by the way.
The drinks in Club M can be a little on the pricey side, but I suppose you have to expect that in Temple Bar. This wouldn't be my first port of call though, there are plenty of better places nearby, but to misquote Gertrude Stein - a night club is a night club is a night club. -

Plan a night out with a bunch of Brazilians and you're going to have a blast, no matter what. I spent a rather enjoyable Saturday evening in the confines of Blooms Hotel's Club M, although I'm not sure I can entirely attribute that to the venue...
Club M is your typical nightblub - crazy lights, boppy music, drink specials, sleazy guys. I can't say I'm the biggest nightclub goer or fan but this one was pretty decent as far as nightclubs go.
We were there for Independence Day, so the joint was appropriately decked out Americana style. Noice!
Club M has a few different themed nights each week, a standout being the Monday night recession night, where drinks are 3 euro. Pretty hard to beat that! Also look out for promo staff in Temple Bar for discount on the entry fee (usually 15 euro for a Saturday night). -

The reputation of Club M precedes itself, and not in a good way. Expect crappy chart choons, flashy disco lights, pink shirts, short skirts, and pukey pavements outside by the end of the night. Best avoided.
