I went to DaDa a while back as I haven't been for Moroccan in Dublin.
Plush and comfy interiors with a very welcoming staff. Gentle music in the background and a vibrant crowd inside.
The menu has a wide range of dishes from tangine to kebabs. The lamb is particularly tasty. The tangine dishes are the outstanding item on the menus and cater for a wide range of tastes.
Moroccan style tea and coffees are amazing and do try them if you have never had them before.
The place has a hookah bar which is a great way to end the evening.

Morocco exists in Dublin! Dreary winter weather giving you a touch of S.A.D? Then treat yourself to an early bird here or a late bird...
The interior is everything that you would expect that is, it is Moorish. Ruby reds, warm browns, cushions and candles etc. There was live music by a classical guitarist.
I got the lentil soup to start and spicy meatballs for main. The presentation was great as they came out in what I can only liken to the tin man's head. They also were very generous portions.
For dessert I had the home made cardamom and lemon tart, it was very rich and the base was too much for me. The mint tea that I ordered with it was a measly portion... Maybe I'm a philistine in that perhaps I should have sipped from the small shot size glass.
There are several dining areas which all have their own mood and a private room downstairs. Definitely would go here again. -

Usually enjoy Dada - some great tagines on offer, and you rarely leave there hungry. Prices are reasonable and there are usually good offers available. The highlight for me usually is the end of meal Moroccan mint tea accompanied with delicious north African pastries/sweets. Will be back again!

AMAZING FOOD! Terrible service. Once again, the theme in Ireland is very bad service in restaurants. Expect to have to get up and ask for drink refills, or really anything you might need. Then expect to have to flag someone down (again) to get your check so you can leave. It's sad how bad service can put such a damper on otherwise great food. But going out to a restaurant is about the whole experience; not just the food.

Excellent meal and an enjoyable night out.
We has the early bird, which offered both decent value and a nice variety of choices.
We started with the chicken kebab with spicy sauce that certainly lived up to its billing. The fried spinach starter was also a delight.
The marinated chicken tagine with pickled lemon was superb. The chicken was so tender is practically melted wne cut. The lemon added a tangy touch to an already beautifully flavored dish.
The spicy kofta meatball tagine had a nice kick to it, with a sauce perfect for dipping the thick sort-of-pita bread served with our meal.
We only wanted sparkling water with dinner, which was unlimited for only €1 or €2.
The meal closed with a refreshing and tasty mint tea, just perfect on a cold and rainy evening.
I really liked the atmosphere of the place as well, including the Arabic pop music playing throughout the restaurant. The service was quite good with a friendly staff.
Definitely a keeper. -

I'm not sure what to say about Dada... The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, but the service left a lot to be desired. Every one of the waiters was pleasant and friendly, but they seemed to forget we were there. When we would pipe up and ask about where the next course was, or if we could see the dessert menu, etc. they would answer promptly and graciously, but then seem to vanish for ages. I think that dinner took more than three and a half hours, so we had to abandon our post-food plans, and I'm not sure I'd ever go back. In spite of this, at €29 for the three course value set menu (appetizer, main and dessert with mint tea), I wouldn't complain about the cost and quality of the food.
Perhaps I'll give them another go when I'm not intending to be anywhere afterward, but I'd definitely think twice. -

Ate there last night with work as part of the Dine in Dublin promotion. The menu was shortened so this review will focus on the food on the menu I received,
I started with the marinade sardines wrapped in philo pastry which I know is not to everybody's taste but I really enjoyed! I also tasted the Moroccan dips which were very tasty.
The mains I chose was the tangine of lamb wit green beans. Moroccan food I realised is very sweet but this dish was beautiful.
The waited brought us all mint tea after the meal and it was a great settler for the belly.
All in all the place had a great feel and you felt that at any time the carpets would start to lift from under your feet and a genie float from the bottle of Merlot.
I loved the place and would recommend it to those looking for a place that transported them to a mystic land without having to get a booster for their malaria levels. -

I had a delicious seven-vegetable tagine here thanks to the terrific lunch menu, a tenner for a main course. The food comes out roasting hot and so fresh and tender, I really couldn't ask for more in a vegetarian dish. I had a side of cous cous, fluffy and tasting of some gorgeous lightly scented olive oil. The hummous is good but not to my taste, I like my hummous garlicky. All told, a great spot for a weekend lunch.

Went here the week after Christmas, so it was still a bit empty, but the food was good. Service was quick at first, slow toward end. The atmosphere was really nice, not overly done. Looked like a nice place for a group dinner.
We split 3 appetizers, so I cannot comment on the meal menu. The apps were nice. Salad with piquillo peppers and goat cheese was very good, although a bit oily. The aubergine was a small portion but quite yummy. The 4 moroccan dips were really good - the fave was the fig and date dip and the hummus. The olive tapenade was good but nothing special.
We split dessert: rose water cheesecake with cardamom and cinnamon glaze. It also had a marinated plum on top. The cheesecake was nice and light, very very mild rose water flavor. Was good, but probably wouldn't order it again. Nothing else on the dessert menu looked all that exciting.
When we left the waiter gave us a coupon for a complimentary glass of wine with our early bird meal, which actually seems like good value. We might be back. -

We went for the Dine in Dublin week. After reading the reviews and since there were more positive comments I figured it was a safe bet.
I agree with everyone that the food is Really good, the decor is cozy and the facilities were clean.
That being said...I also agree with the other reviews that the servers don't seem to know why they are there:
The restaurant was half empty, and even with reservations, we had to stand around 10mins before we caught the waiter's attention.
Another 10mins before they came around to get our drink order. We had a Morrocan wine (delicious) which made waiting better before we ordered the food. So this is a good 30mins before we even ordered food! As mentioned the food was delicious but even after we paid, we couldn't get the attention of a waiter to ask him for change. The result was we left a 5% tip.
If you do go, make sure you aren't starving or have plans afterwards. Even though the food was great, the experience as a whole was not worth the price. -

I first went to Dada to have an early bird with my girlfriend and I was gladly surprised for the money for value they can offer there.
Cous cous (not the Merguez one) is really tasty so as the Moroccan Mint Tea included in the deal.
We came back for a dinner with regular menu, hoping to find a better variety of food but this didn't happen.
They offer you exactly the same food but not for the same money (actually understandable but the difference in money is not matched by the difference in terms of quality).
The atmosphere is really nice and truly recalls north-africans places.
For my opinion Dada is a very good choice in terms of early bird menu but if you have to spend a Friday/Saturday night you can easily find a better ethnic restaurant. -

This is my favourite spot in Dublin. Food is fantastic, service is good, and the atmosphere is second to none. Try a tagine (any tagine), or have the chicken with sultanas and couscous; I've yet to be disappointed in about 15 visits. You cannot go wrong here!

I've only been here once (dinner), but the lamb tagine was delicious. I have fond memories of a couscous with chicken I had once in Morocco, so I may be biased towards Moroccan food. The mint tea was also perfect. Hot, minty, and sweet.

Brilliant service, atmosphere and food! We just had to wait a good few minutes before a waiter came to our table but everything else went more than smoothly! Recommend it big time.
