Review from Laura C.
Dublin
Happy Days, recently moved to the larger space downstairs from its previous location on the first floor, is another of the shops in Temple Bar that exude hippie-chic fashion and quirky bits and pieces. With a fair trade policy and direct contact with suppliers, this shop has a definite Indian flavour. Stocking the usual supply of bags, scarves, skirts, dresses and tops, the Indian influence is clear in the beauty of the material used. Generally with a sale rack hiding somewhere (which is always a good first port of call...things can start as cheap as €5 which in Ireland is ridiculously cheap!), Happy Days also has cute little jewellery boxes, incense burners and a small few bits of jewellery. If you're a little bit (or a big bit for that matter) hippie, or just want something to brighten up your wardrobe, pop in here and see what's on offer

Oh Happy Days, oh Happy Days...
This hippie dippie shop is chocca block with ethnic fabrics, woven bags, floaty clothing, incense and oil burners, candles, jewelery and other little bits and pieces that make good presents but that you seldom buy for yourself. There are a few similar shops within a 20 metre radius, that I think have more to offer than Happy Days, but prices tend to be a little cheaper here.
The Celtic Jewelery Shop takes up a corner of the room, there's a poster shop upstairs selling framed and unframed posters of the likes of Bob Marley, Marilyn Monroe and Bob Dylan (little originality here), and also a new fixed-gear bicycle shop called Fixed. -

This is the ultimate hippie shop. As soon as you walk in, you get that patchouli/ nag champa smell. I've been living a bit of a hippie lifestyle (so my boyfriend tells me) so I was immediately interested in the shop's wares.
I wasn't that impressed with the merchandise, having just come from Konfusion clothing shop next door, but now that I know that Happy Days is fair trade I can't knock it too much.
Happy Days is cheaper than other shops of its kind, but the clothes aren't as pretty. Nevertheless, there are some interesting finds here like silver jewellery with precious stones and Tarot cards. -

Happy Days, man. Pretty much your standard hippie shop that sells clothes, jewelry, bags, trinkets and more - all whimsical. Generally happy, cosy and smelling heavily of incense.
I found that everything was pretty high quality and the selection is great. The apparel is loose fitting, flowing, and colorful; there should be no surprises at that fact. I particularly like the artisan silver jewelry, which is better quality and more unique than the usual selection at shops like this.
Nothing really exciting or new here, but Happy Days is a solid shop.
