Hayden's pub very biased towards tourists from other country's and from other county's in Ireland.
I went in there with family from the united States for drinks around this time of the year ( Christmas ) .
We were not well received by the guy at the bar as he asked if we were locals , I replied No . We live in Boston, my brother lives in Nass we were visiting.
We were refused drinks because we were not locals, the bar man replied we only serve locals at Christmas time.
I was utterly disgusted by this explanation , Locals only at Christmas time.
I hope the board of tourism looks at this post .

I highly recommend!!!! Not to visit this pub if you are from another country or county these people live in their own bubble of privilege . This pub gives the beautiful county of Kildare a black eye.

On vaca, looking for live music & our ears lead the way here. Very festive people, who let us sit w/ them, friendly bartenders & enjoyed our Guinness on a Bank Holiday! Nothing was opened so it was refreshing that they were. Thank you & Cheers!!

Christmas time so it's time to go back to the home town haunts and get asked a million and one questions and revert to your secondary school status - joy.
I like this place during the day, the open fire is a place were I listened to many a story. I like this place during the day for a quiet one but at night it's heaving and very local. It's very much a horsey pub with all the pictures on the wall.
Smoking area out the back is very popular.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 19 Jan 2015
I used to go here a lot more. The location is good and the staff friendly. Great place to watch rugby. Its small with low ceilings and it gets packed so not always easy to get a seat etc but we have had some great sessions. They used to have irish music and dancing not sure if its still on but depending on your preference you could go or avoid on that night. Personally I would avoid as its not my thing. Still a lovely little pub with a great pint.
