A small cafe in wagman area of Paris - it right across from the Metro wagman station. It is a charming small restaurant where the food is simple and the portion is a good side

We went for the set menu where I had the prime ribs special with was cooked fine. My wife had the the fish. We had starters and desert.

The place is quiet and you do see some local as the area is basically residential

If you in the area you can try this the set menu price is reasonable. The waiter was attentive and help us with explaining the menu that was in French

My mom and I were recommended to this restaurant by our front desk recipient at the hotel. It was a short walk to our hotel which wasn't bad.

We noticed that the restaurant had mostly locals since we didn't hear a single word in English! We flipped open the menu and everything was in French. Have no fear, Google Translator is there! I was able to translate everything and AVOID ordering that baby rabbit for an appetizer which I almost did.

We got the lunch special with an entree and dessert. My mom got the filet mignon which was deeeelicious! Her's came with french fries and mashed potatoes. I ordered the beef tartare with a salad and french fries. The beef tartare looked almost like ground beef but was seasoned so wonderfully. They gave me about 3 sauces and I only ended up using this spicy mustard sauce with my beef.

For dessert, my mom had a dark chocolate mousse which was fluffed and whipped and looked great. I ordered the strawberry sorbet which was also good but we were too full to finish the meal.

One of our waitresses was kind of rude but the other one was pretty sweet. Our meal came out to about $30 USD and around 20 euros. Everything in Paris is quite expensive unless you go to Quality Burger or something.

      -Good Service
      -Good flavor

My wife and I shared a dinner menu. It was more than enough for us both. Overall, well rounded and a solid restaurant for the pricing.

The loveliness of this restaurant is absolutely typical of Paris - though it was the first time I had forayed out into the 17th. Warm and inviting - full of great classics - I had foie gras and terrine and had veal kidneys and potatoes for my main. Patient with the "comment dit-ons" of the conversational, not fluent, speaker, and just generally awesome.

Make reservations. It's easy for 1 or 2 to grab a table, but I saw at least 5 parties of 4 or more get turned away on the lazy Sunday afternoon I was having a great meal and writing.

A crew member had recommended this place and our hotel concierge agreed. He called and made reservations for us. We got there 10mins early, and they weren't open yet so we walked across the street and bought ourselves some nice wine to take back home to Canada. While we were perusing wine, church bells started ringing. I guess it's time for dinner!
Our server was quite pleasant and as soon as we sat down, he asked if we would like an English menu. What a life saver. I tried to use my limited French throughout the night, but our server must've been amused. Here's why. I speak very little, if not, horrendous French, my fellow crew member is Japanese so we're speaking Japanese to each other, but she would speak to our server in English. Yes it was an interesting mish mash.

The menu consisted of a la carte items, and more convenient, a prix fixe menu. I like choosing from a list and making up a dinner. So we went for the prix fixe. Out of I think 8 or so choices, I had the rabbit terrine for appetizer, it came with onion marmalade and cornichons. Delicious. Perfect with our bordeaux. My table mate had the scallop terrine which was fresh and light. For our mains, again out of 8 or so choices, I was bold and ordered the rognon de veau. Which is veal kidneys. I'm a sucker for offal. It has texture, flavour and always goes well with red wine. The mustard sauce had a nice kick and the potatoes were out of this world. Might've been roasted in duck fat? I can't seem to recall what my table mate had for her main. ( That's what you get when you wait too long to review! ) But I do remember that she finished it all. For dessert, we decided to go light and had melon carpaccio with strawberry in liquid form. It rounded out our dinner perfectly.

Many people say Parisiens are mean and rude, but this place is the contrary. Friendly and pleasant with a smile. In fact I'm finding it hard to find places where servers have bad attitudes. Times are tough and you can see that attitudes are changing for the better.

To walk off our dinner, we decided to walk to L'Arc de Triomph and enjoy the summer evening. Last minute, we decided to walk up it! 284 steps later... I felt like I was going to keel over. But the twilight view of La Defense all silhouetted in the pink sky and twinkling Eiffel Tower on the other side was a breathtaking view. All worth the huffing and puffing. Now lets try not to get all dizzy walking down those spiral steps!

Food was great! It was a lil bit pricy, but thats cause we didnt get a special. The waiter only spoke french but he knew how to say the basics in english and was really nice. Enjoyed this place. I got 2 delicious plates (I forgot what they were called).

I had a really fantastic dinner here! I speak a bit of French; unfortunately, not enough to know what a "malgret" is, so I ended up needing the English menu. I did order the malgret (a fillet) of duck and it was really delicious! The waiter was also quite friendly. My meal was 18.50, so a little on the pricy side, but soooo good I'd say it was worth it!

I lived above this restaurant in 2002-2004 and my family and I were regulars. I've since been back in 2013 and the restaurant was exactly as I remembered. It's so typical of good Parisian cuisine. I always order the entrecote de veau, but I'm sure the whole menu is great.
