This is the real deal. One of the best second hand/vintage shops I've ever been to. Clearly the owner has a good eye.

A lot of the 'vintage' shops in Temple Bar are overpriced (20 Euro for a t shirt!!) or just have some gross stuff (I tried on a jacket at one place with so many disgusting things still in the pockets), but I didn't pick up one thing for more than 30 Euro here -- and I tried on some pretty gorgeos dresses. Everything she's selling is in excellent shape.

The owner is also incredibly helpful, fun, and has a story for almost every piece of clothing. But she never makes you feel pressured to buy anything. It's like walking into your mysterious aunt's attic (or basement in this case) and getting to try on all her clothes! This woman just loves vintage. And there is new stock in all the time (I got an amazing red dress by an Irish designer for 25 Euro that she had gotten in the day before) so you can come back as often as you like.

In addition to the awesome selection of vintage clothing (esp dresses), she also stocks local DIY designs and accessories for good prices. Nothing cheesy. Plus a small and random collection of vintage housewares. I was dying for a pair of robins egg blue wire chairs, but they had already been sold!

All the prices are written on tags made out of puzzle pieces so you literally feel like you're putting together your wardrobe. I could come here every day for the great prices, great vibes, and great selection.

Lucy's Lounge is a find! Hidden in the basement of a Temple Bar building, this second-hand shop is an absolute treasure trove.

Filled with cutesy clothes, jewellery, accessories, children's toys, old books and the like, Lucy's Lounge is a perfect portal for mid-afternoon shopping heaven. Who knows what precious knick knacks you'll come across in this tiny basement?

The shopkeeper is fitted out in an intriguing blend of the shop's wares, intricately done up in shawl, flowery hat, old fashioned dress and a mish-mash of accessories. She is a cross between Mary Poppins and the 'feed the birds' woman, and she is lovely lovely lovely!

There are some exquisite discoveries to be made by whoever has the patience to sift through the wares in this store. Whether you're on the hunt for a vintage dress, a tacky 80s fluoro ski jacket, a pair of dainty gloves or a funky wall hanging, this place is worth a look!

Beware: this shop is only open Thur - Sat 1pm - 6pm and Sun 3pm - 6pm. Time your trip accordingly!

Lucy's Lounge is an antiestablishment unto itself. This place is a sanctuary of vintage clothes and accessories tailored to satiate the desires of any adolescent hip male or female. Upon approach it's not exactly inconspicuous with the wall outside painted bright pink to stand out even in the already multicoloured milieu of Temple Bar. After entering Se Si on the ground floor you descend the stairs into a whole new haven of garments and accessories even more idiosyncratic than those that reside on the ground floor. Everything from tweed hunting jackets and vintage Adidas shell jackets for the unconventional male and classic silk dresses that feature the same flower-patterned design as seen on your grandmother's old apron but in this context it looks chic and unexpectedly fashionable as well as wax rain hats and a whole other conglomerate of goodies for the quirky female.

This shop really has it all if you are looking for something essentially modish yet distinctive and you'll be assured that no-one else will have any of these rare, one-off items. All of the items' price labels are written on jigsaw pieces attached to the item itself, just a small thing I noticed that should go some way to conveying the shop's overall eccentricity.

With very helpful and kind staff, a killer location in the heart of Dublin's most characteristic shopping quarter and some of the most hip stock you'll see in the city, anyone with so much as a slither of idiosyncratic taste are duty-bound to drop in on this unique haven.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE LUCY'S.
I lived outside of Dublin a few years back and have returned on many separate occasions to visit; every time, I make my pilgrimage to Lucy's.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this shop. It's a real treasure in Temple Bar. The owner is one of the nicest women and she always has a story to share. She gives her honest opinion and is always willing to chat or give a recommendation.
The clothing is a great mix of wacky vintage and handmade items with really great finds- I once scored a M&S purple tunic top for a fiver! It's one of my favorite pieces of clothing. It takes a bit of looking, but that's really half the fun isn't it?
Lucy's is a wonderful establishment that really deserves more praise than I could give.

Housed in a basement under Se Si, and only open 1pm to 6pm, you could easily miss out on this shop, which would be a pity.

It is well worth a visit, as it is packed full of vintage and second hand clothes, accessories and jewellery, all of which seem to have gone through a vetting process - no ugly tweed skirts here.

You will have to rummage - some of those things are packed tight - but it can be worth it to find a gem. If you can't afford the Urban Outfitters across the road, come here instead, as they often have similar stuff for less than half the price.

Tucked away downtstairs in the pink building that also houses Se Si, Café Irie and Art Tattoos, Lucy's Lounge is a diamond in the rough. At first I couldn't find the place and actually walked out of the building. But my vintage shop-meter was beeping like crazy so I had to turn around and find it. It was worth the search, because it is awesome!

Lucy's has a really excellent selection of vintage clothing, especially nice are the dresses. They also carry some more modern pieces from HM and the like, but I just ignored that and focused on the cool old stuff. There were some pretty party dresses from the 50s, 60s and 70s that could make a superb statement at your next bash. They also have gloves and hats that are pretty enough to spark a revival of tea parties.

They also have a great and large selection of menswear, which a lot of vintage shops lack. In addition, stacked upon an old sink (I know, right!!) are dishes and various housewares and right in front of that was a pile of old suitcase, which I had to stop myself from buying the lot of.

Lucy's Lounge is a treasure trove and is bursting at the seams with truly beautiful vintage finds. Not only is the stuff in great condition, but it also boasts a pretty nifty price tag with most things under thirty euro which is a definite plus for anyone on a budget. Whilst young hipsters may be tempted to shop in Urban Outfitters, trust me on this one guys, you can get better and cheaper stuff at Lucy's. The owner obviously knows fashion and doesn't just sell any old stuff that is vintage - it has to look good and wear good. It's like a designer Oxfam - this place is amazing. I seriously cannot praise it enough. The owner is friendly and is always willing to help and ask if you're interested in anything. I always find a helpful shop assistant makes for a better shopping experience and she is just that without being in any way pushy. There's nothing worse than a hard sell! Although when you step through the doors of Lucy's, you may feel a little claustrophobic as you are attacked by clothes rails full of pretty dresses and cute vintage jackets and t-shirts, once you relax a bit and take a look around, you won't want to leave.
