During our tour of Tuscany, we went trough the Museum of Leonardo da Vinci, nestled in the heart of Vince where he was born. Depending on your interests in da Vinci, will determine your love for what you see. I have always been fascinated by his work and when you go through the museum, you will see some models of his inventions, from a machine to make domes to his flying machines. If you are as fascinated by his work as I am, stop in. It will not take too long to go through the place!

Defiantly your typical historical Italian Village made famous by Leonardo. Lots of art students were around drawing examples of the Masters work

The wooden models of Leonardo's inventions are nice. Many of them can even be interacted with. There's also a mirror chamber that is fun.
But when you hear the word "museum" in this town it builds expectations. This isn't much of a museum, since it's all reproductions. The repros of Leonardo's paintings are just awful: All poster prints.
Still, it would be a great place to show kids what kind of an amazing thinker Leonardo was.
We didn't climb the tower - didn't even know it was there.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeff B.Glen Ellyn, United States17041210520 Jun 2013
A nice place. Not really spectacular but a good stop if you're in the area. Many models of Leonardo's machine have been recreated. Most of the museum is in Italian. I think there is an iPod tour available in English which I did not try. The trip to the top of the tower is worth the climb. A beautiful panoramic view of Vinci an the surrounding countryside.
