Super formal, beautiful bakery. They have so many delicious looking baked goods, and it was hard for me to choose just one thing!
I got here a few minutes before they closed on a Thursday afternoon. The guy at the counter was friendly and didn't rush me. The signs for the baked goods are all in French, but he spoke English.

Buttery soft crust, delightfully fresh raspberries, and a lovely cream filling.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 17 Oct 2012
I loved their macarons and ended up saving it to enjoy them in Cannes later that day. They are not as pricey as some of the other places in France, but the taste is the same, if not better. I was in heaven bite after bite. The guy behind the counter was very helpful and even though I was speaking with him in French, he was nothing but polite and helpful.
A definite stop while in Nice.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dave S.Oakland, United States864671039 Jun 2019
Bought chocolate bars to take home to fussy friends who are chocolate snobs. They ended up fighting over the last pieces. Excellent variety of dark and sweeter chocolates.

Ooo la Lac! What beautiful and tasty desserts you have! I love sweets and I think I'll find any excuse I can to travel to France just so I can stuff my face with sweets. The shop itself is small, modern, and stacked with appealing french macarons, chocolates, and beautifully made cakes.
For my birthday, I had a couple of their cakes and macarons. The cakes were absolutely delicious, even the ones that I thought weren't going to taste that good. There was this one cake in particular that tasted like sweet almonds and made out of a sweet paste. It was so unique and tasted like nothing I've never had before. The macarons I felt alright on. I think I've been permanently ruined ever since I went to Laduree, the master of all macarons.
Definitely pick up a dessert from Patisserie Lac, you won't regret it!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - 275986731 Dec 2012
The long lines outside the store on weekends and during the Holidays don't lie: the chocolate and pastries are amazing and will keep you coming back and back and back.
I believe by now I have an addiction to all their dark chocolates. They are not too sweet and definitely first class well on par if not better than any well known Belgium or Swiss counterparts.
Don't stop at the chocolate the pastries are also first class. I especially like the fact they offer 'mini' pastries which allow you to taste a wider selection.
I have tried a few pastries shop in Nice and this one is by far way above the crowd.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lizounne L.Nice, France147695418 Jun 2008Updated review
Very good French pastry where you can find differents types of cakes, macaroons, chocolates, and ice-creams.
Prices are in relation with the quality of the pastry that means a little bit high.
- Natalie M.Washington, DC, United States25868112012 Sept 2014
I ordered a chocolate dome and wow, it is certainly something! The chocolate is just amazing, dark and smooth, in the middle there's a vanilla and creme brulee cream. The cake is very rich and I was only able to eat a few bites before giving up and saving the rest for another day, but I certainly enjoyed every one of those bites! I tasted my partner's Opera cake and that was quite delicious as well!
I highly recommend visiting this place and trying one of their incredibly amazing desserts! Remember, calories don't count when you're on vacation and expecially when you're on vacation in France.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Danielle C.Nice, France78556057 Apr 2015

My mom brought me a beautiful box of macarons, and despite the 12+ hour flight and the wait time during transport, they still tasted and looked beautiful.
They're a bit sweeter than the Laduree ones, but I like that they use less buttercream as fillings. The one I liked most (of 24 that I tried) was the sesame, with real white sesame seeds on the outside, with a slightly nutty flavor.
The packaging is also more sleek and modern than the dainty light green Laduree boxes and bags, and I heard their tartes and chocolates are even more amazing than their macarons. I guess they are more of a patisserie than just a macaron factory :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
