We stumbled into this small establishment while killing time waiting to board a river tour. The gentleman that greeted us explained the entire menu. He served us drinks and took our order, or really he told us what was best based on our dietary restrictions. We soon found out he was also the chef! Literally, he was a one-man serving-cook. He was charming and accommodating. If you're ever in the neighborhood stop by; you'll feel at home.

Sehr systematische Bedienung mit echtem italienischen Flair, nicht wie viele andere Italiener hier in Deutschland. Das Essen ist wirklich frisch und schmeckt hausgemacht, dafür ist die Auswahl nicht so gross, das ist ok. Qualität scheint nicht immer gleich zu sein (bei mir ein Ausrutscher auf etwa 7 Besuche

Authentic Sardinian Cuisine in a very comfortable, authentic Berlin style. That means a little crazy, thrown together bit by bit in a don't-give-a-darn way. But friendly service, great fresh food, and real Italian, sometimes including the Italian-style waiting time. And as with all great restaurants, there's a spunky personality (owner) behind the counter most days.


If you want to get a taste of the nutty local Working-Artist culture, come for lunch here during the week. Rungestrasse happens to be one of the epicenters of Berlin's international creativity scene, with stacks of artists studios, dance and opera theaters, and other quirky enterprises just down this very unassuming street. Thus, the people you meet here are open; pick your language and there's a feeling of "this restaurant is not perfect but hey neither am I, so let's talk."
