    Overpriced
No variety and kind of junky.
I went here 3 times searching for gifts for kids. Slim pickin's.
The store is huge but simple.
One type of sweatshirt which takes up 20% of the store (in 5 different colors). Would have been cool to have 6 different styles in a couple different colors.
    Just boring.
    Few hats.
Decent knickknack section, but I expected more.

For general souvenirs, yes Carroll's has a larger selection.  BUT, I must say, I found my favorite souvenir here so have to give it 4 stars.  I got a lovely Guinness jacket/hoodie that we did not see at the Storehouse or at Carroll's.  So, in my opinion, it's worth a quick look to see if there's something different here that you haven't seen before.  And, if you want a souvenir from the Temple Bar Pub, then this is your place.

Nowhere near as good as Carroll's. It's just a boring shop with weird layout.

Because I live in Dublin, I would never normally go into this tourist shop. It sells everything with Guinness and a shamrock on it, basically souvenirs that are stereotypically Irish.

I was prepared to hate it but then I discovered some good buys. You can purchase a kid's hoodie for a fiver and some decent sunglasses for a tenner.

Yes, you can also find Leprechaun fridge magnets and bottle openers. There's a ridiculous amount of clothes with sheep cartoons on them too. But then there's chocolate and fudge that looked quite scrumptious.

If you're a tourist and you need this stuff then I forgive you. I understand the urge to buy  a tea towel with the recipe for soda bread on it. I too once believed that this was what Ireland was all about.

Cashing in on the monstrous success of the famous Temple Bar pub, the proprietors expanded the premises to include a massive souvenir shop.

The Temple Bar Trading Company is essentially a department store for all things Oirish. There are rugby and GAA jerseys galore, Aran jumpers and tweedy hats, shamrock  encrusted stationary and plenty of Guinness merchandise too.

Personally I've never found a need to shop here, but I reckon if you were a tourist,  middle-aged and of American origin especially (no offense intended),  this shop would be a real treasure trove. They seem to have some good bargains too.

My God... MY GOD, this shop is boring.

Think of Carroll's Gift Store minus the atmosphere - minus the customers. The Temple Bar Trading Company (cunningly named to disguise its actual function) is an extension of the Temple Bar Pub, designed to cash in on the adjoined premises' alcohol-fuelled paddy-whackery with more cash-fuelled paddy-whackery.

The shop floor itself is quite big, but, given its lack of activity, there is only need for one counter - the cashier can easily patrol both sides by virtue of the same lack of customers. The merchandise is competitively-priced, which is to say it's over-priced tat, but you can find the odd bargain if you're the kind of person who likes to buy Bailey's-flavoured chocolates and Guinness bottle-openers.

Temple Bar Trading Company is along the same lines as Carroll's of Dublin, the really tacky souvenir shops all over the city. However, I do find the Temple Bar Trading Company a lot better in terms of price, quality and different designs compared to Carroll's. On the downside, the shop is smaller, therefore choice is more limited and the stock is still tacky!
