My bag was stolen in here :-( it was my favouritest bag ever and some scum of the earth girl had it under her arm and had walked out the door before you could knock back a shot!

now while this has tainted the pub for me i dont want it to taint the pub for you. i ahve to give full crrdit to the bar people and the bar manager, they had me up in a room checking cameras with them the minute i told them, they also had the police there lickaty split, they did everything they could to make the situation as good as they could and afterwards they gave me free drinks because they felt sorry for me. they could not have been any better!

The cocktails are really nice in here and the setting is really classy! cant say a bad thing about it

other than the horrible meany girl who took my beautiful bag!

Oh no. It's that time of the night. You've already had too much. Again.

"Yeah, sure, we'll go to The Morgan for a few cocktails before closing"

How did your life end up like this? Drinking a cocktail that's little more than a thinly-veiled analogy to the atom bomb.

At fifteen Euro a pop, it costs an obscene amount of money to produce.  The shape of the glass reminiscent of a mushroom cloud. Even the name strikes terror into the hearts of heavy drinkers and scientists alike. This is without a doubt the most destructive thing you can do to your body at half two in the morning.

Within seconds of the drink hitting, this place turns into one of the most hostile environments on the planet. The heat is unbearable and the loudness is deafening. The bouncers are eyeing you up, looking for any excuse to kick you out. The lights blink and the population drops.  There's a few survivors hanging on, but that's all. It's over. You crawl home and spend the next day recovering from symptoms suspiciously similar to radiation poisoning.

    Manhattans are a terrible drink.

The Morgan is cool for one major reason...there's beds in their smoking area!! Whoever thought of that is both a genius and a bit of a daredevil...they must absolutely reek by the end of a busy saturday night, yet they look so so cool and I would recommend this place purely on that basis alone!!
As for the rest, it's really a matter of taste - if you like the slightly more posh clientele, then check it out, because it isn't bad. However, if well-groomed sophistication isn't really your thing, then this place may not be for you. Yes it's known for it's cocktails, but you can definitely get them for cheaper elsewhere.
Check it out for the courtyard, but only if you have deep pockets!!

The Morgan Bar on Fleet Street has just the right amount of sophistication and ease. I often come here late afternoons to meet friends in the courtyard.

The courtyard is fashioned in a Parisian style: everything outside is painted white from the wood chairs and tables to the large mirrors that hang from the walls. Another interesting element of decor is the metal framed beds. They are definitely a popular feature of the bar and are often occupied.

The Morgan is mainly famous for its cocktails. I recommend their strawberry mojitos and  their sour apple martini. At one point, the bar offered a scrumptious Spanish meat and cheese platter but sadly, these two options no longer exist. Nonetheless, the Morgan Bar is worth visiting just so you can escape the madness of Temple Bar.

I'm not a fan of cocktails, Morgan's pride and joy, but for a very special occasion, I like to go here for wine and tapas. The cheese and serrano ham topped mushrooms face stiff competition from the Spanish meatballs and the calamari as the newest food addiction. And a portion of their Patatas Bravas is a must!

But as has been mentioned, this is a pricey place but if you and your friends have a little extra to spare and feel like spoiling yourselves, grab a seat in the lively courtyard, order a sample of different dishes, wash them down with nice Spanish wine and let your mind wander to the warmer South
