Love their coffee. I'm a coffee drinker but detest milkless coffee, a rule I waiver for Twisted Pepper as I feel awful sullying their blends with cow juice.

I've had the odd sandwich here too and though I find them way overpriced considering their size, they are delicious (still overpriced though).

Generally a good crowd during the day, everyone is friendly and chatty which leads to a nice atmosphere.

I haven't been at night so I can't comment on the night club.

I came here for the Yelp Elite event and this is what I had to say:

"So much fun! Probably the most fun event so far. Rory (the bartender) was super informative, funny, friendly and made fantastic drinks!

I had never been much of a rum drinker before, but now I think I'll drink it more and I'll probably be doing that at Twisted Pepper!"

I ended up hanging around after because of the drink deals (2 for 10 Mojitos and Cuba Libras) and had a lot of fun. I was only on the ground floor, but I plan on going back to see more. I hope Rory is always there!

Best coffee in town! I even broke my "no drinking coffee" rule. My husband buys his roasted coffee beans here and the staff are really nice and helpful.

Will update review on what the tea is like.

Good place for pre drinks but later on it's also fun because they have a dancefloor. Funny doormen too!

For a cool night out with mixed music all in one place this is where it is at.

You meet all sorts of people here, and is one of the coolest places in town, i dont think they ahve a night where they place is not busy.
The venue has a club downstairs, mini club or a sweet palce for small intimate gigs, the main bar area, and a tiny intimate venue upstairs. over all a great place to see new up and coming alternative bands/artists/Djs etc.

The drink deals here are some of the best around, you walk in and you are hit by this large sign in black and yellow( black n yellow, black n yellow, sorry i got side tracked)... but yeah 3 Moosehead bottle for €9( one of my favourite Canadian beers) i think and a list goes down around 10 items... enough i think for a good night out!

I love how the palce is decorated... its random but very cool, reminds me a little of camden town with big bold strking colours, and a mix of anything random!

I had a friend in town from the states and we wanted to go out dancing on Saturday night. We decided to go check it out and had Thomas Reads as a backup plan. There are three levels: in the basement there is a techno DJ, on the street level there is an indie rock DJ and live bands play, and on the first floor they had a disco room. Did you read that? A disco room! I know what you are thinking and the answer is yes. It was amazing.

The other two levels were OK. Techno is not really my thing and the street level didn't have much dancing thanks to all the tables. Overall I found the place a bit smaller than I thought it would be and the clientele a bit younger than I thought it would be. They even had frat-style drink specials and weird slushie drinks. I hate that stuff. Anyway, I had a blast at the Twisted Pepper but I think it was more about the company than the venue.

I think a lot of people overlook that during the day this is one of the best cafés in the city. Its run the by the thrid floor coffee crowd and you would be hard pressed to find a better espresso in Dublin.
Plenty of comfy couches line the sides of the café alongside quite an impressive exchange library of books that people can swap.
Free wifi is an added bonus that makes this a worthwhile place to chill for an hour in town.

A great venue with a brilliant staff and very reasonable prices.  I was impressed to find a good music venue in such a good location that doesn't ream you with high priced drinks.  It's a very good size, not too big and not too small.  They also have the stage area separated from the bar so you can take a break and go grab a seat and have a chat if you like without disturbing anyone, which is a definite bonus.  A great place to catch many underground acts which you will find nowhere else in Dublin.

There's not enough clubs on the northside of town, so there's one thing going for Twisted Pepper already. And now that Spirit has morphed into the Academy, there is no-one to threaten Twisted Pepper's position as the pre-eminent dance venue on the northside.

Twisted Pepper is in the same spot that Traffic used to be, and is taking up where Traffic left off, so expect banging techno and funky house. Also expect the rather unfortunate sauna effect: Twisted Pepper is a long narrow building, so the further that you get from the front door (and the further underground that you get, as most of the nightclub is subterranean), it get's hotter and stickier. This effect is not helped by the phenomenon, often referenced in pop culture, of dance music fans enjoying certain chemical substances. The side effect of these substances not make the place any less sweaty. Rather the opposite, I'm afraid.

Still, this rather goes with the territory, and they do have some very good resident and guest DJs, so if dance music is your thing, you're just going to have to take the rough with the smooth, as this is one of Dublin's better dance clubs.

I went here about two weeks ago on an invite. It was the DIT graphic designers graduation party. I had a lot of fun that's for sure. They had it rigged up with their own personal graphics which was really cool, the music was great. So it's definately a good spot to get your dance on, dance floor is big.

Then I went there for a quiet drink with a friend recently. Honestly, it lacks that atmosphere during the day time, it's got nice artwork inside and they have promotions and a tinsy outdoor seating area. A chillout cushioned area is upstairs. Again I just think if you are going to go here, do so with a view to making a night of it cause it's really lacking during the day.

What a versatile place ! Great coffee and tea place (yes, proper leaf tea!) at 6-8pm, awesome music, exhibition place, a place to dance and to laugh with comedy nights...There's a great buzz in there

The Twisted Pepper proudly claims that it's many things in one. It puts on live gigs, club nights, has a room for private parties and an art gallery. Since the beginning of summer 2009, it also has a cafe which is open in the afternoons from Wednesday to Sunday after 4pm.

Regardless of all this, this venue is best known for its late performances. There's a long list of electronic music artists who have played here. Friday nights are great for people who like Dubstep.

It gets pretty crowded and messy on weekends but it's good fun. There's drink specials and for the next month, bottles of Peroni beer are 3.50 Euro and two Jaeger Bombs and Redbull cost10 Euro.

Beware of hot sweaty men who take their tops off! These guys are stuck in the 90s rave scene.

The Twisted pepper showed up in Dublin about eighteen months ago and many rejoiced upon hearing news of its peppery birth. There are no good alternative clubs on the north side of the city, but unfortunately, that buzz seems to have cooled off significantly since that time.

The Twisted Pepper has great Dj's that do craking techno and electric, and I've been to a couple of good gigs here. On the right night its amazing, but sometimes it can be a bit lackluster without a crowd.

I was here with Irish friends and it is really different.  All day downstairs there were bands playing and upstairs there was a ballroom place with people dancing.  Downstairs there was a techno dj who was really good. We paid €14 to get in but normally its cheaper they told me.

Twisted Pepper is the epicenter of Dublin's evil dance conglomerate. On the upside, they bring over a lot of great DJs. On the downside, they've eaten half of the local nights that used to be spread out all over town and the name is pretty cringey.

The basement smells like puke and the music is eardrum-damagingly too loud (apparently those sound engineering courses in Temple Bar forgot to mention that it doesn't actually sound better when you turn it up to 11) and the last time I was there it was too dark to see anyone. The upstairs floors are much better, though. To be honest, I don't think this is the sort of place you'd randomly wander in and have a buzz. Try to emotionally and alcoholically fortify yourself before going.

A great club in the centre of Dublin made up of three floors each pumping out tunes more diverse than the next. Upon entry you go through a slender passageway aligned with leather seats along the right-hand wall. This seating area is cool if you fancy a quick sit down after some energetic dancing but otherwise it is so hard to hear people that it's best to leave the meaningful discussions to the next day when in quieter surroundings. The bar runs opposite to this seating area leaving hardly any room for maneuver in between the crowd queuing for the bar and the gathering that has accumulated by the seats, before you know it you're having to barge your way past to reach the dance floor at the end - a tiresome effort but generally expected within these hectic settings.

When you reach the dancefloor at the end you are confronted by what looks like a scene from the Run DMC video where they're all standing around looking on at the few brave enough to show their moves on the dance floor, nodding their heads in that cool, reverential way in the process. I say 'brave enough', yet it's not actually an intimidating feeling then when you do indeed start dancing (that's just the vibe it gave off initially), it's more a sensation of wanting to egg on others to join in - they just don't, and hence you inevitably move upstairs to a more shadowy, intimate space.

It's ironic that this room is actually upstairs in the building because when you get there it radiates a subversive, underground feel, like you're having a mini rave in a cellar of a house or a decked out garage. The only pointer that it is somewhere less dissident than originally thought is that it has it's own bar - a welcomed facet however when as a consequence you don't have to trek downstairs to the over-run bar on the ground floor to rehydrate. The music played on the first floor is remorseless as any supreme DJ should be yet melodious and very easy to boogie to in the process. So get your mates together and form a crew effort to experience something gratifyingly distorted, twisted even.

Eewwww. I had two bad experiences here. I would go again if I knew someone interesting was playing. I guess. I had read good things about Twisted Pepper...but it's "alternative" to a fault. And sort of creepy. Maybe the kind of place you sort of need to be "in" with. Or maybe it just sucks.

The first time I went on a fairly quiet night in Dublin. Just wanted a drink at a cool place. I don't mind cheap grunge, I really don't. I was even excited to be there are first. But then the bartender basically forced me to get Beamish instead of Guinness. And a bunch of middle-aged musicians in sergeant pepper costumes showed up. And we accosted by some Irish creepers in kangol hats claiming Australian and music industry ties and calling me 'baby' and a 'goddess.' We quickly made our exit.

Went another night with a bunch of girlfriends who wanted to check it out. This time there was a cover. We had to go down to the basement for some reason. Where we encountered some boys who looked about 16, some very intense fog machine action, stupid music, crazy lights, and realized we weren't drunk enough for this kind of night. Thanks, but no thanks.

It was like a Boston University party on Ashford Street in Allston, MA. Except none of my friends were there. So...more like a Boston University party on Ashford Street when you're a freshman. Full of bad drinks and bad memories.

Was here for a gig and the place was packed.  Great atmosphere with the full dance floor, but I was less than impressed that the price of my drink was in constant flux (€4 to €5) throughout the night.
