Excellent little bakery. I think you have to go early for the best selection. Great buns and cakes all served by friendly staff.

I don't normally leave reviews, but second time buying pandecoco from this bakery and still disappointed me. Less filling and more dough. I'll rectify this review if you add more filling. Until then, Loriz bakery is still the best.

Are you Filipino? Have you lived in Edmonton all your life? Then you've probably had a slice of Ludy's cake at some point. It's pretty much the go-to bakery for a lot of the local Filipino community -- they are famous for their mocha rolls.
This isn't a bakery if you want fancy fondant and crazy cakes that don't look like cakes. This is for a place where you want to be reminded of the Goldilocks (which Ludy used to work for, or so legend says) baking franchise from the Philippines, where all cakes are spongey and soft, then iced with yummy yummy buttercream intermingled with macapuno, aka coconut (that's the tropical touch). The cake is also flavoured similarly to the buttercream, so it's a really nice complement.
Maybe I'm too close to the subject matter, but Ludys bakes my favourite cakes, and it's not going to be usurped any time soon.
Ludy's also sells "pan de sal" aka Filipino buns, and they've been selling them long before Lucky 97's suppliers.

This is what we've got last week from Ludy's Breads November 26 with December 6 expiration date. Molded breads

over priced in my opinion. Not a big selection for walk in's. Overall wouldn't really recommend this bakery as there dosent appear to be much value for your money

We ordered last Christmas and haven't ordered since. We order 1 large roll cake in white and usually they are excellent. This time it was very dry and we thought it was old. Definitely old. Not happy with it. We will try again this Christmas hopefully with better results.
