Service was attentive and friendly. I hadn't been to a Macayo's in years (I always preferred the ones in Tucson to Phoenix) -- well before they sold out to private equity (they had made changes to the menu I wasn't too keen on). The food quality is not what it used to be. While nothing was bad, the best things were the chips, salsa, and chimichanga shredded beef. The enchilada sauce was not very exciting. The cheese crisp wasn't what it used to be. The cheese didn't taste like the same quality cheddar they used to use. Anyway, it's not bad, service was good, but it's not what it used to be.

Solid 3. My introduction to the Original Pancake House was years ago near Milwaukee. This one did not meet that standard. Parking is limited. The wait was fine to be seated. We waited a very long time for our food, and one item was forgotten until we reminded the waitress that we ordered a cinnamon roll when food started to come out. She hadn't been back to the table for us to remind her before. Food didn't come out at the same time for the two of us in the party. There was a 5 minute delay between my food and my brother's meal, and his came out in a couple of deliveries.
The cinnamon roll is compared to happiness in their flyer for it. Meh. I wouldn't order it again. It was very soft, not like a typical cinnamon roll texture. The frosting was too cream cheesy for my taste.
My croissant sandwich -- it was fine, but the waitress wasn't sure that I would be able to substitute bacon for the ham that is in the description. She was very concerned that would not be possible, and she had to talk to her boss. That just seemed like an odd statement to me instead of, "I'll check." I regret not getting the French toast or crepes. Maybe my food experience would have been better.
Overall, there are better breakfast joints in Phoenix.
They do offer real maple syrup. That is a big plus.

I saw people eating crepes on their sidewalk section, so I decided to go in. They have a decent selection of crepes. I got l'originale with butter and cinnamon sugar. I also picked up some macarons. The macarons were nothing special. The crepe was good, but I'll say it was not enhanced by the cinnamon. After having crepes in France, I like the butter and sugar best. Service was good. Convenient location to draw your in while walking around. It smells very good.
This is an excellent museum. I've been on a few ship museums over the years, and they are always informative. The last I saw was the USS Intrepid (also a carrier). The exhibits in the Midway were interesting, informative, and their audio tour was also useful (unlike some that are boring). You can use your own headphones with the audiotour which is very nice. There is a bookstore in the hangar near the entrance that is filled with donated materials you can buy, and there is a separate Museum shop for the ship with lots of different types of goods.
I spent a few hours here and did not complete the entire museum. I have to come back with my dad who flew in the Navy, but was on a different carrier.
You can buy a ticket online and save some money -- $2 savings. I bought a ticket when I got there because I wanted the physical ticket.
I've heard a lot about this restaurant. It came highly recommended by many people. It was fine. I came on the day of a new menu. Unfortunately, not a lot was super exciting to me. An extra scallop was the price of a super expensive, amazing steak house in Scottsdale. I didn't get it. I did get the Caesar salad. It was not very flavorful. The steak was overcooked (medium-well, and I ordered medium-rare). They did replace it, but it took so long, that by the time it was done, my friend was done eating, so I gave it to her to take to her husband, it hotel is not equipped well enough to have it as a leftover in the few days I have here. The foccacia app was filling. I also had a shrimp app that became my meal.
The chef came and apologized for the steak. That was nice.
