Spellbinding scenery. Top rooftop is panoramic and stunning day, sunset, or night.

You can come here for drinks only, which is nice. Though touristy, I didn't sense trap. (In the non-hood colloquialism sense of the word).

They offer a platter of fish scraps which you can skewer with a fork and then feed the ubiquitous pigeons. If you are comfortable with close encounters of the aviary rodent kind, it's a unique experience.

      Small bar areas.

Very nice views, of course. And always delightfully thematic.

Relatively uncrowded on a Sunday at 5PM, which would make it a great date spot to debrief on (or create) debaucheries.

Cliche alert: This is a high energy, high vibration, positively radiant yet peaceful spot. And it's not even in Sedona.

I only experienced the Sunlighten Infrared Sauna (for two!). This is a private chamber located in a private room stocked with performance enhancing goodies like dry brushes, jade rollers, weights, lotions, potions, and I even think I saw incense. Of course I did!

I could live in to the infrared sauna/cold plunge/whole body vibration room. It's pretty much all I need in life, and Buddha Bella gives you an hour in this utopia. I love the irony of the gigantic Medusa mural leering at me during these protocols. Yes, yes, Athena - this is about wellness, not vanity! But damn, I LOOK just as good as I FEEL after 40 minutes in the sauna. How bout 'dem endorphins!

PS: Owner Debra is a gem. Very personable but not overbearing.

"What's so special about Cafe La Trova?", he asked.

Me, incredulous: "It's the #21 Bar in The World, and you know how extremely accurate these superlative lists are - ESPECIALLY the Forbes Billionaires List" ....

I then had to pinch myself to see if I was hallucinating, both from the audacity of his question and from how handsome he looked asking it.

In this case, all superlatives well earned!! As of 2022: Not only is Cafe La Trova #21 in the world, but #6 in North America, and #1 in the South! Whoa!

We made a reservation for early Sunday night (5:45!) to be on the safe side - and it's a good thing we practiced safety. The venue was packed. Valet parking was $12. Walking in we were greeted with a great ambiance and good mood lighting.

We were seated exactly next to the stage, which means we also got to indulge in every millennials dream: No no, not naked bongo drumming, even though we were close enough.

No, we got to text each other in public sitting directly across from each other. Oh yes. Swipe right.

Really, if you want to go on a first date and not have to hear her yap endlessly, please request "courtside" seats. I would not advise this place for any type of meaningful conversation during dinner/live music hours.

However, the live music itself was excellent. I also discovered my dashing dining companion is quite the skilled table dancer. As in, seated. Not standing on top of. I didn't notice much of a dance floor at 630 PM, but maybe the place clears out later in the night.

Bears mentioning that there is limited bar seating, and there was no cover. Reservations for tables must order dinner.

Food was delicious and came out lightning fast. We had ceviche and ropa vieja. We'd rank the ceviche as 7.5, and the beefcake ranks the cuban beef as an 8. I had the "Award Winning" Buenavista drink to top it off. This cocktail can not be customized, unfortunately but it was nice.

I wasn't planning on writing a review until I received a thank you email from La Trova. Though automated, it was an impressive touch. They aren't taking their #21, #6, or #1 status for granted. This type of humility makes me want to stop, drop, and write a review (after years of hiatus) in support of establishments like this. Here's a vote for #1, #1, and #1 going forward - salud!

This review is for Milana Dostanitch - employment and labor lawyer.

Milana was recommended to me as a personal referral from a law school friend. Though ultimately she couldn't represent me due to jurisdiction, she coached and advised me throughout the process of lawyer vetting and selection as if I were her client. She benchmarked reasonable rates, and advised how I should negotiate fees. She also diligently listened to my case and coached me through how to pitch salient points to lawyers I was interviewing. All this - as a friend of a friend with no monetary incentive. If she was willing to go the extra mile for me, I'd not hesitate a nanosecond about hiring her to represent me formally.

She is good. She cares. She is thoughtful and scrupulous. Oh, and PS: I WON MY CASE, and I believe the victory began the minute I spoke to Milana. Thank you!
