This is a great place to stop for a snack or lunch if you're in the area. There's not a huge choice (perhaps a few more options would be good, including more vegetarian dishes) but what we chose was excellent, freshly made and delicious. The staff were very helpful and happy to alter a couple of things on the menu (I wanted to have cheese instead of ham and extra salad instead of bread). My husband loved the soup and the coffees were gorgeous too. If we'd had more time on our trip the other day we'd have tried some of the cakes on offer but that will have to be on our next visit!! The bookshop and gift area are nice to browse as well and the whole place is laid out most attractively. I'm sure we'll go straight there when we're in Aberfeldy again during the next month or two.

I had a meal here recently mainly so that I could use the free wi-fi on offer (which worked a treat). It was packed out, tables rather close together, and difficult to find a free seat but finally got settled right at the back. It was all pretty noisy and crowded but the staff were very friendly and I was served surprisingly quickly. The menu (as at all Wetherspoon branches all over the country) was varied with plenty of choice and there's a good range of real ale, wine and soft drinks.

Very easy to find being in the middle of the Mutley Plain shopping street. If you're lucky you might find a space down one of the side streets (probably a long way down) or else there is a large car park on the opposite side of the road at one end (city end).

This is an AMAZING cafe!! I'm so glad we stopped there yesterday on the off-chance of a bit of lunch and a coffee or two. It is obviously a very popular place and there wasn't even a free table at first. However, we didn't have long to wait and the lovely blonde lady with the big welcoming smile (who may have been the owner but I'm not sure) brought us a menu to read in the meantime. She and another member of staff served us during our meal and I have to say the service is second to none - really first class.

There is just so much choice and really interesting, imaginative, meals and snacks too. Everything from sandwiches, salads, burgers and 'lite bites' to superb main meals and dreamy desserts; everything is presented beautifully. Large selection of soft drinks, herb and fruit infusions, excellent coffees, wine, beer and cider - just about anything you could wish for! I can personally recommend the exquisite grilled halloumi cheese and salad with balsamic dressing - utterly gorgeous!!

The place is very clean - tables were cleared and wiped thoroughly as soon as they were vacated. The tables and chairs are chunky wood, there is a wooden floor as well. There are mini-spots set into the ceiling and framed articles from magazines praising the cafe on the walls. There's a full-size disabled toilet in addition to the usual ones - again, everything was spotlessly clean and looked after.

We intend to return for an evening meal before long as we didn't have very long to linger yesterday. You can book a table in advance which is very helpful, the place being so popular!

There is a free car park to the left of the cafe or you can park in the side street opposite.

A small branch of this charity shop but worth a look if you're passing. There are many bargains to be found - I found some nice knitting yarn (there are many colours to choose from) and also a beautiful bone china dish (which was inside a glass cabinet), still in its original box, for only £2! There are many things to be found which would make nice gifts, especially for 'older people'. Of course, there are clothes and several shelves of secondhand books and DVDs to browse through as well, so pop in if you're passing!

I called in here the other day and was very impressed with the beautiful crafts on sale. This is the only dedicated fair trade shop in West Lothian so well worth a visit. There is a large range of fair trade goodies including chocolate, scarves and bags, gorgeous clothes, exotic jewellery and various unusual toys. There are also many small purses, felt brooches, key rings, sparkly boxes and other trinkets which won't break the bank. The owner of the shop is a lovely lady who is very helpful when asked for something but is equally happy for customers to just browse around to their hearts' content.

It's open 10am to 5pm but closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.
